Miniature Matchbox Books by Jane Foster
I've been making miniature matchbox sized books for over twenty years now - making them for my own personal collection and my friends and family. I decided it would be fun to make a few to add to my little webshop so I designed and had the components made using a fabulous local ethical printers here in Devon called Ashley House Printing Company, based in Exeter. Ashley House only use FSC papers and card so I was thrilled when a friend of mine recommended them to me.
Scandi Christmas illustrations
Despite having many illustrations to choose from (from the past ten years), I decided to opt for creating two books - one using my Scandi style Christmas illustrations and another using my iconic animals. Each little book comes with a little white elastic band around it to keep the book closed. I've a limited edition of only 100 of each design and each one has been signed and numbered on the back in pencil. These little books and covered matchboxes have been lovingly assembled by myself in my studio at home. Not only does each little book fit into it's own matchbox, each matchbox then fits into a white gift box to protect it in the post.

Each book opens out so you can read the titles on the reverse.
