Making Miniature Matchbox Books - Workshops with Jane Foster

April 03, 2018

I've been creating little matchbox books in boxes for over twenty years now and have made the decision to run a few workshops to share some of my ideas. During my workshops  I'll be showing you how to make one or two of your own to take home and treasure. These little books fit inside their own matchbox and can contain a variety images, photos, drawings, stamps, letters and anything else that you can create.

I’m having fun with getting back to painting. I’ve been dreaming about painting some very large canvases in thick paint! I’m starting with some smaller sizes but hope to go very large at some stage. I’ll share this with you soon once it’s finished.
I hope you’re having a lovely weekend! This little fella has popped into my shop along with a few other archival prints. ‘Happy lion for a happy home’!
Have you had glorious sunshine today? This is where you’ll find me most days - inside my sunny studio where it all happens! The far end (through the open door here) is my little screen printing area and the main area is where I draw, design, sew and pack your orders. Thank you to all of you that support my small indie business / creative career. I’m really grateful to you.
Red tomato cushion anyone? Two of my favourite colours at the moment - red and yellow.
Happy Valentine’s day to all of you! Here’s to a day to celebrate everyone we love - not just partners but parents, children, friends, loved ones past and present! Here are my handmade little dancing dolls to bring a little bit of happiness ! Hope you have a great day! X
I’ve spent the past six years using my head logo on everything from comp slips to stickers to address labels. My previous website even had moving eyes that followed you when you moved your curser! I’m excited to announce that I’m now launching some new prints in very small limited editions of only ten called ‘Girl with bob’ - she’s available in mint, blush and yellow - A4 and A3 size. (I can order larger A2 sizes on request.)
